The Martyr Maker (named Arrow for the civilian art version) is traditional and functional - maybe something you might see in Europe in the Middle Ages. The style suggests a time when heroes walked the Earth and Valkyrie flew on the currents of wind. The lines convey a feeling of cold wind - vast steppes - ruins so old even the ghosts have forgotten their names.
At DS&S we can identify with those places and times, because we know the heroes are still among us - and they will never fail.
Yeah. Who loves you, baby?

At DS&S, we make gear for legends.
This art-version of the Arrow (and there will soon be a combat version) is being produced out of LaTrobe Dura Tech 20CV. That is some of the finest steel in the world, currently used by the aerospace industry. We don't screw around here at DS&S. We have the best people, the best knives - the best location and shop.... no, scratch those last two. Those pretty much suck. But hey, it's all roses and smiles here - because we may not be driving anything nice (hell some of us, nothing at all), but we are still stylish.
And at DS&S, stylish can get you all the way there.
For those interested, our knives feature a zero-grind style at between 7.5 and 11 degrees. We do each of these completely by-hand and by-eyeball. There are no jigs at work here. Our grinder
features a ten-inch wheel with a variable speed controller - and we run it at high pressures with a 70 duro contact wheel and 2 inch x 72-inch blaze ceramic belts.
We do not, however, weigh our knives. If you are worried about how much they weigh, you must be preparing to take them into space. Hope you have a good trip.
Our steels have been LaTrobe Dura Tech 20CV, ELMAX, M390, CTS-204P, Z-FINIT Nitrogen Steel, CPM-20CV and a couple in N690 and Cowry X. We are always experimenting - and always looking for new materials and treatments.
Our coatings are also specialized stuff: We use Black-T and Black Diamond DLC. Our blades are sent out to those two companies to accomplish that work, depending on the requirements of the project.
We do all our own firing and cryo work. Everything by-hand and by-heart.
FOR KNIFE BUILDS...
