DS&S will soon introduce the ultimate spork. Eating unidentifiable crap out of strange containers with military designations has never been so fun or so easy. And we even added a couple hex wrenches, a screw-driver and a knife blade - in case you have to unbolt the door of the bunker, cut your way through a gaggle of terrorists and unscrew something that needs unscrewed, before sitting down to eat.
Yeah baby. We know what you need.
NEWS RELEASE: Although the existence of the Food Fighter has been confirmed, we believe the Spoon to be the figment of overactive imaginations. Most sightings have been debunked as weather balloons, swamp gas - and even the planet Venus. Photographic evidence presented to us for verification has so far proven to be A7-D aircraft which have crashed during routine training missions. There was no loss of life during those missions and the crashes occurred in unpopulated areas. It was deemed reasonable to not inform the public in these matters, as in each case, it was purely an administrative, in-house problem and we have already cleared all debris and dealt with any environmental issues which may have resulted from these unfortunate routine accidents. But it is very important to reiterate that at no time was the public in any danger - there is no such thing as a "Battle Spoon" weapon, and people can feel secure in the fact that we are out here doing our jobs well with a highly motivated and highly trained staff.
For those interested, our knives feature a zero-grind style at between 7.5 and 11 degrees. We do each of these completely by-hand and by-eyeball. There are no jigs at work here. Our grinder
features a ten-inch wheel with a variable speed controller - and we run it at high pressures with a 70 duro contact wheel and 2 inch x 72-inch blaze ceramic belts.
We do not, however, weigh our knives. If you are worried about how much they weigh, you must be preparing to take them into space. Hope you have a good trip.
Our steels have been LaTrobe Dura Tech 20CV, ELMAX, M390, CTS-204P, Z-FINIT Nitrogen Steel, CPM-20CV and a couple in N690 and Cowry X. We are always experimenting - and always looking for new materials and treatments.
Our coatings are also specialized stuff: We use Black-T and Black Diamond DLC. Our blades are sent out to those two companies to accomplish that work, depending on the requirements of the project.
We do all our own firing and cryo work. Everything by-hand and by-heart.
FOR KNIFE BUILDS...
(yep. We are that busy)
Troops come first.
